At 85 years of age Don, who had never played an instrument before in his life, decided to start learning to play the trumpet, and for the past 18 months he has been having weekly private music lessons in the theatre at our Cornubia home.
Well, in celeration of this festive season, Don, our new local maistro, fluently played Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls, Come all ye faithful, We 3 kings, Silent night and O’come Emmanuel for residents and staff.
He has both surprised and inspired his audience with this mastered new skill, and proof that it’s never too late for any of us!
