“I would like to commend the Lifestyle team for how efficiently and seamlessly the mobile voting process was conducted. I was genuinely impressed by how well everything ran that morning. As it was my first experience with voting here, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the team exceeded all expectations – the girls were absolutely amazing.”

“I had a wonderful time at the Mad Hatter’s tea party!! Such fun with painting the roses but I will admit I was not very good at it! It is wonderful that we get to have a bit of fun with all of our friends here.”

“I had a wonderful time at the tea party, there was so much to do, and it was very lively. I had the pleasure of attending with my friend John and we enjoyed it immensely. I even won the tea pot toss and got a very colourful rabbit. I never in my life attended a Mad Hatters tea party!”

“I didn’t really feel like joining an activity today, but the staff encouraged me and I am glad I joined. We played quick fire quiz and it was quite fun. We each got a category and had to name three things in that category as fast as we could. It sounds easy enough, but it really makes you think.  We had so much fun joking and encouraging each other. I look forward to the next time we play.”

“Good morning Paul, My name is Lisa Schinella, Individual Support Educator and placement co-ordinator at InterCare Training Mile End. I have had the pleasure of visiting your facility on two occasions recently while conducting student placement visits. I want to express my gratitude to you and your amazing team for accommodating our students for the required placement hours. The feedback I am getting from the students is, the staff are so friendly, helpful and supportive. When I have visited the facility myself, the staff I have encountered are always smiling and eager to assist. You truly have an amazing team at Christies Beach! Both the students and I are very grateful for the support offered. I look forward to working with you to assist our future carers.”

“I enjoyed having a hand massage today. I didn’t feel like joining any activities and it’s nice knowing that someone will come spend time with me in my room. I like spending time alone in my room, but it’s also nice having company for a while. Also, the hand massage really helps me relax.”

“Thank you to staff that painted my nails today. Usually, we have scheduled days for that, but my nail polish was chipped so I asked if they could do it today. It is nice to have something like that taken care of right away. It makes me feel well cared for and having my nails painted always makes me feel better.”

“I would like to say the armchair travel to Mexico was well presented. Great food. The lifestyle girls looked after us all well and everyone enjoyed themselves. I enjoyed the Nachos and the Mexican pancakes. And my cold beer. It was the first I have ever had nachos, and I enjoyed them. The decorating of the room made the event extra special. Thankyou lifestyle team.”

“Eddie has been working with our Strength and Conditioning team who met him with patience, encouragement, and a personalized plan tailored to his abilities and goals. Through consistent, gentle guidance and a lot of laughs along the way, Eddie began to notice small wins like standing taller, walking a little farther, and moving with more ease. Now, several weeks in, Eddie’s transformation is nothing short of inspiring. His posture has improved, he moves with greater confidence, and his energy is contagious! The Strength and Conditioning team couldn’t be prouder. “Eddie is the perfect example of what’s possible when motivation meets support,” they shared. “He’s put in the effort, and it’s paying off in his everyday life.” Whether it’s joining friends for a walk, taking initiative to walk the corridors on his own over the weekend to share his progress on Monday, or simply taking pride in how far he’s come. Eddie’s journey is a reminder that it’s never too late to get stronger and feel better every day.”

“In our home, it’s often the simple things, a shared laugh, a thoughtful conversation, a familiar game, that make the biggest difference. Our one-on-one companion shifts have become a cherished part of daily life, offering residents meaningful emotional and social support tailored just for them. These individual visits aren’t just about passing the time; they’re about making connections. Whether it’s chatting over a cup of tea, flipping through old photo albums, playing a Favourite card game, or reminiscing about cherished memories, these moments are creating joy, comfort, and a renewed sense of self for our residents. For many, having a companion who’s there just for them helps ease feelings of loneliness and brings a sense of calm and belonging. Each visit is guided by the resident’s own pace and preferences, and every interaction helps build trust, laughter, and lasting bonds. Family members have noticed the difference too with more smiles, brighter spirits, and stories of the special moments shared with other residents and staff. These one-on-one visits may seem small, but to our residents, they’re often the highlight of the day. It’s a reminder that kindness, attention, and connection can truly transform someone’s world with one visit at a time.”

“I am currently at your home conducting the voting for the federal election and would like to compliment how beautiful it is and how welcoming the staff and management were. The Cafe was so impressive that I am going to talk to our group at the Beenleigh United Church (30 of us) to visit each month on a Wednesday so we can all grab a coffee and cake. Well done to you all and thanks again.”
