I live 130 km away, and I haven’t been to visit for a few months… I am so thrilled that I can see Mum’s face, and that she sees mine.

After we video called on Mother’s Day, Mum phoned me to ask – how did we do that?? Does it cost a lot? Who paid for it? I said no it didn’t cost much, and that Infinite Care paid for it. Mum was blown away and loved that she was able to see her granddaughter as well.

I feel that Mum feels a little closer to her loved ones as we talk together, and the vision is an extra excitement.

I very much like the fact that I can see Mum, and see that she is looking well. The smile on her face was very reassuring of her physical and mental wellbeing. I think she is also reassured to see our faces and know that we are healthy and happy too.

I was very surprised, as Mum would never be able to use this technology by herself. And I would definitely love to use this service after social distancing finishes, due to the many kms I live away from Toowoomba.

My heart is very grateful of the efforts and time given of Jaimee and the Mt Lofty team for providing this extra special service, which adds quality of life for my Mum. That is important to me. She must always feel she is not far away from family, or just a “phone call away”.

I had no faith in any of the changes because of the past. In the first week, I received a phone call from a lady named Babari-Oli to introduce herself. We had a friendly chat, and I pretty much cried and said, “You’re the 8th manager that we have had to deal with, and I don’t know what your plans are, but I’m worried.” All she did was listen and said to me, “I’m here for good, and I don’t know tomorrow; hear me out today. I’m here to look after my staff and residents in my care.” Within two weeks, I could see some changes coming. Babari hired a lot of talented people within the month. I could breathe daily knowing that my loved one is in good hands. The whole culture of the place has improved. She has put all her energy into making sure that everyone listens to our concerns and rectifies them right away. She was available anytime of the day and night to listen to me. She was even there on the weekends when I saw my family and had time to chat and share her plans for the place. I am now looking back so grateful to have Babari to the end of my loved one’s journey. My few words will never be enough to thank her commitment to this place. She will always be in my prayers. I always understood the challenges aged care faces in difficult times. At the same time, now I realise how much a committed person like Babari brings changes and peace of mind to all of us. I have always prayed about the well-being of Southaven, and even though I don’t have anyone there, I will continue to pray for everyone. I hope Infinite Care will retain people like her for years to come. Babari, please accept my heartfelt thank you to you and your staff.

My beautiful mum was in South Haven for 5 years. We had ups and downs with the facility and management over the time but the majority of the staff who cared for my mum were beautiful people who cared for her with love and compassion! I am so blessed to have met them as they were my heart, ears, eyes and arms when I could not be there. The facility itself is ‘tired’ but I think this is being addressed. The continual changes in management over the years have not helped, nor Covid! However the staff managed the Covid situation very effectively! To the nursing staff, lifestyle staff care managers and the Director – thank you for your love and care❤️

Everyone went above and beyond, comforting her quietly, gently bathing and turning her and making her as comfortable as possible. Family members were made welcome and cared for as well. We were kept informed and allowed to take part in the treatment choices. Mum’s room was simply full of love. We cannot praise the care provided highly enough. Michael the manager has done a wonderful job choosing the right staff which has made a difference. Our family would like to thank the management team and all nursing staff members from the bottom of our hearts. You treated Mum like a family member and we will be forever grateful. We highly recommend your wonderful care facility.

This is my first job in Australia as a carer, I was looking for work for more than 4 months, with struggle, finally my manager Babari, must have seen something good on me. I am thanking her every day for the opportunity to work in this nice company and with good team. I came from Japan and working here made me think why I did not come here first. Southhaven is beautiful place, good management team and lovely residents. I have been here now 2 months, I love my work and love residents. I have been coming to Infinite Klemzig for the past 7 months as the Resident Hairdresser/Barber. I have fallen in love with this place so much that I have now joined the Team as a Lifestyle Assistant.
