Grandpa has also always been quite shy and we find that the staff at Infinite go out of their way to make sure he is included in activities. We are often surprised to find him sitting with other residents, which we find so heart-warming. He never said he was happy at the other place, but at any time we ask if he is happy now he says, “bloody oath I am!” It is so evident that the nursing staff do not just view their role as a carer getting through a shift, they treat all of their residents with the respect, dignity and care they deserve. I often say to my family and friends that it is like the staff don’t view their patients as ‘people with Dementia’, but just ‘people’ with wants, needs and hobbies like the rest of us, that they ardently seek to fulfil and encourage. We are truly blown away and are so glad we found Infinite Care Mount Lofty for Grandpa. He is a special man, and he deserves the special care he gets there.
