With National Volunteers Week approaching on 20th of May, what better time than now to focus on our wonderful and valuable volunteers at Infinite Care!
Our facility volunteers are a beautiful group of big-hearted people that are made up of family members, friends and people from within our communities. They assist the lifestyle team with one on one visits with our residents, garden walks, card and board games, craft times, themed days, special occasions, outings and so many other tasks.
People volunteer for an endless variety of reasons. Some just want to give back to the community, help a friend or be involved in a worthwhile activity. They do it because it makes them feel good and they can see how much it means to those on the receiving end of the time and care they invest!
Volunteer work is not only good for your psychological and physical health, volunteers also reap the natural benefits of feeling a personal sense of accomplishment while building social networks that support their own lives. Volunteer work increases social participation, increases trust in others, reduces stress, increases self-esteem and adds a new level of purpose to individual lives. You are doing good for others and your role as a volunteer will give you a true sense of pride and identity.
We love our volunteers!
If you have any interest in volunteering, or know someone who might be interested in volunteering, please speak with the lifestyle teams at any of our facilities.
