What makes me stay is the excitement I feel each day, knowing I will get to speak with someone new – or have a hand in someone else achieving their dream of working in a job as meaningful as mine.

My favourite part about working at our facility, is making the residents days, giving lots of hugs and seeing my friendly co-workers.

I just love my job. Being around some of the residents helps me feel connected to my own parents. I love to see the residents’ smiles, it’s a very rewarding atmosphere.

When asking Benson about his role at Ipswich, he says he loves helping residents with their walkers, cuddling residnets and keeping residents feet warm.

My role as a Project Coordinator sees me work from our National Support Office dealing with suppliers (and staff) in order to keep our supply chain running smoothly. I come from a passionate Italian background and am not shy in voicing my opinions in order to solve problems and support the team. I find it so rewarding seeing projects come together knowing I have helped in the process.

I love working at Rose Court as the management is very supportive and there is a friendly work environment where it feels so easy coming to work every day. I find working in aged care truly rewarding, and live by this advice, “treat the residents with respect and dignity but most especially treat them as you treat your own family”.

I find my work in aged care rewarding, and believe I can really make a difference in people’s lives. I love to listen to our resident’s stories, crack jokes and smile together with them. This gives me huge satisfaction in my job.

I always had a passion for the elderly, and in my heart I knew I was always eventually going to work in aged care. When I started here, I worked as a cleaner and kitchen hand, but I wanted to work closer with the residents so I studied to be a carer. I love working here and putting a smile on everyone’s face.

I chose aged care, as I love working with the elderly and enjoy making them happy. I am passionate about my work and like spending time listening to our residents stories and making everyone look and feel their best.

My name is Fatima, and this is Sherry. She belongs to a resident here at Caravonica Waters. I look after Sherry so her owner can have her all day during my work hours. Sherry comes to work to spend time with the residents and she is our #1 employee. Seeing the happiness that she brings to everyone is very rewarding. I love working at Caravonica Waters.

I very much enjoy seeing the residents enjoying the activities, listening to the history of their lives, the love of their families, and providing that little bit of care unique to each particular resident. I strive to make their day a happy one.

I am inspired to make a difference in someone else’s life by being an advocate for those who can’t speak for themselves. But most of all, making a positive impact on as many people as I can continues to drive my career in nursing.
